Yamaha Maple Custom Absolute 5-Piece Shell Pack — [Cranberry/Wine Red] Lacquer

Up for sale is a Yamaha Maple Custom Absolute shell pack in a striking deep cherry/wine-red gloss finish. This is the original Dyna Hoop generation of the Absolute line — before Yamaha moved to the aluminum die-cast hoops and YESS clamp mounts of the later "Nouveau" kits — built from 100% maple shells using Yamaha's Air Seal System for a perfectly round, consistently thick shell. These are widely regarded as some of the best-sounding production kits Yamaha ever made: warm, full, and articulate, with excellent sustain thanks to the low-mass hardware and free-floating tom mounts.

Condition Notes

• Heads: Evans coated batters on the toms show notable stick scuffing/wear (visible white scratching across all four tom heads); bass drum has a Remo Powerstroke-style front head, unbranded resonant-side visible with light wear; the black-finish head visible in one shot may be a separate reso or port head
• Shells: high-gloss lacquer looks clean and glossy overall in these shots, no obvious cracks or major finish damage visible
• Hardware: chrome throughout, tom mount clamp visible holding the two rack toms together, floor tom legs present
• No snare drum included, no cymbals, no stands/throne beyond what's mounting the toms
