Rarely played, pristine, near-mint 2022 Martin 012-028 Modern Deluxe, a masterful blend of pre-war vintage aesthetics and cutting-edge modern technology.Representing the pinnacle of Martin’s Modern Deluxe series, this 12-fret "parlor" size guitar delivers a focused, balanced tone with surprising volume and projection, all housed in a compact, comfortable body. This specific instrument is in excellent, near-mint condition, showing virtually no play wear, and has been meticulously cared for since new.
Vintage Tone Meets Modern Innovation
The heart of this guitar is its Spruce top treated with Martin’s proprietary Vintage Tone System (VTS). This torrefaction process artificially ages the wood, granting the guitar the responsive, open, and complex harmonic character of a decades-old instrument straight from the factory. Paired with solid East Indian Rosewood back and sides, the 012-028 produces a rich, fundamental bass and crystal-clear trebles ideal for fingerstyle and intricate flatpicking.
Structurally, it features traditional dovetail neck joints for maximum resonance, alongside modern enhancements for unparalleled stability. The neck is crafted from genuine Mahogany with a "Vintage Deluxe" profile and a high-performance taper, offering a smooth, broken-in feel.
Includes Original Hardshell Case.
