If you're looking at this, then you know what great guitars these are.

This is for my Harmony Meteor. Keith Richards, Peter Green and Dave Davies all owned these (not this one, obviously, or it would be worth a lot more) with good reason as they are fantastic guitars.

Harmony were a USA brand (recently revived) who produced a large number of guitars, sold in catalogues or shops, that were more budget friendly than the F or G models.

The earlier ones featured gold foil DeArmond single coil pickups that are punchier than the S or T type guitars. I believe this was produced between 1958-62 because they pre-date the "Mustache" ones that were used on later Harmonies. It also has "Cupcake" knobs and a Burns vibrato. The latter looks old, but as I'm not the original owner, I couldn't say if it was stock or added at a later date.

The main fault, if you can call it that, are long cracks on either side of the input jack and on the under side. The crack by the jack is stable as you can easily plug in a cable, but it could probably do with being restored to bring it back to its former glory. There are also lacquer cracks on the body, on the neck and the back of the headstock. These all seem to be cosmetic to the best of my knowledge.

The electronics work as they should.

I'm not an expert on frets, but they look to be in good shape, but please bear in mind that this is a 60+ year old guitar and some wear is to be expected.

The pickguard isn't currently fully secured, but I will include the screw & nut (it's a bit too tricky for me to attach the nut and I'd rather let someone else do it than lose it).

It comes with it's original "British Rail" case that has some dents & scratches, inside & out, but the catches all work and it should keep it safe.

So if you're looking for a vintage guitar that won't break the bank, then this could be for you.

As a reminder, this isn't a pristine guitar, hence the price.

I believe the fretboard is rosewood, possibly Brazilian as they were still using it then, which means I won't be able to ship overseas, so this is for UK buyers only.
