A one-of-a-kind custom model! Martin Custom Shop guitars are top-of-the-line guitars handcrafted by a small, elite group of skilled artisans in a small corner of the Martin factory. This includes the production of the Authentic Series, bespoke guitars, and one-of-a-kind instruments. This particular instrument is a used 2012 "CTM D-45 Madagascar Anaheim," a limited edition model of which only 20 were produced at the 2012 Anaheim NAMM Show. It is a beautiful custom model using the finest materials. The top is Adirondack spruce, the sides and back are made of wild-striped Madagascar rosewood, it has an ebony fingerboard and bridge, Waverly tuners, short-pattern snowflakes and cat's eye fingerboard inlays, a tortoiseshell pickguard, abalone rosette, ivoroid binding, Madagascar rosewood veneer, vertical headstock logo, mosaic backstrip, and scalloped bracing. Needless to say, all of these are premium grade woods. This guitar boasts superb craftsmanship in every aspect, from volume and sound pressure to crisp attack and rich, resonant tone. Weather checking is visible, primarily around the headstock. While there are some minor dents, light scratches, and slight wear around the soundhole, the overall condition is relatively clean. There is slight fret wear in the lower positions, but the neck is in excellent condition and playability is good. This guitar will satisfy those who desire a D45 that stands out from the crowd. Original hardshell case included.
