Up for grabs is ONE pair of new old stock (with packaging) Encore (by Dan Lidster) 103B Mallets. Black 1" Oval Hard Rubber Heads and Birch Handles. Made in USA . From around 2019.

• PRODUCT INFO: Encore 103B Mallets feature Black 1" Oval Hard Rubber Heads and Birch Handles. Rubber mallets are ideal for creating a traditional Guatemalan sound on marimba, as well as for achieving an articulate but not-too-harsh sound on woodblock, temple block, and log drum.
• GENERAL INFOMATION about the ENCORE UNWOUND SERIES: The diversity of the materials and high quality construction of the Encore Unwound Series provides percussionists with many sound options for musical expression on xylophone, bells, marimba, and auxiliary percussion. Put together by the hands of skilled Encore Malletsmiths, the mallet heads of this series are made of nine different materials, including extra hard PVC, hard acetyl, polyethylene, and numerous types of rubbers.

Measurements :

• Diameter of most areas of the handle / stick: very slightly less than 3/8
• Diameter of head: 1"
• Full Length: 14 and 5/8"
  

I got these mallets back in 2019 (even back then - they were in new old stock condition). NOTE: I was planning to sell them sooner - but was kind of busy. Finally getting a chance to sell them now.

The mallets are in MINT unused condition.

NOTE

• The shade of the color of the wood for each handle / stick is different (one is visibly lighter than the other - just the way that they were manufactured).
• And the small white round spots on the heads are just glares for the camera's flash (these white spots are not actually on the heads).

The packaging (paper part and the clear bag part) is in between Very Good and Good shape (some people might say that the packaging is in VG shape).

• The paper part of the packaging has a couple of visible very short, short, and medium length creases, The edges have some very small / small nicks and a few short faded areas. The corners have some wear / fading and very short areas of unevenness. The part does not lay flat - it curves. .
• The clear plastic baggie has slighty aged / slightly yellowed. It has several visible imperfections: some cloudiness, some cloudy surface residue inside the bag, some creases, some uneveness, a couple of tiny nicks, some tiny & very small dot impressions, some line impressions, and some very light& light scratches.

I took several pictures of the ENCORE 103B mallets and there are some pictures of the packaging.

NOTE: There may be a few minor imperfections that I overlooked. There maybe a few minor imperfections that can be seen in person that do not appear in the pictures. Also - there are some imperfections (glares, reflections. dust specks) that show up in the pictures that are not that visible in person.
