The Innovative Percussion James Ross IP906 Brilliant Glockenspiel or Xylophone Mallet is bright cutting.

The IP906 has been designed for Chicago Symphony Orchestra percussionist James Ross.

I got these mallets back in 2019 (even back then - they were in new old stock condition). And in the same condition as they are in now.

NOTE: I was planning to sell them sooner- but was kind of busy. Finally getting a chance to sell them now. They were stored in a pet free / smoke free home environment.

• In two separate Reverb listings (SEE list below in the description) I have two different pairs Innovative Percussion mallets: IP904 and IP905.

The mallets are in MINT condition. The wood handles just have a few natural imperfections and the natural color / stain of each handle is a little different. The packaging is in between Very Good and Good shape. More details about the condition of the mallets and the packaging are further down below.

The black balls are made of a hard material. I BELIEVE that the balls are made of acrylic (please correct me if I'm wrong).

The balls are described as being black. But the actual color is a lighter shade of black - like a very dark gray. And there are many extremely tiny white and / or very light gray color specks in the ball material.

The rattan handles are fine.

• NOTE: The stain / finish on one of the handles is darker (like an amber color) compared to the other handed (which is a lighter natural color). This is how they were manufactured - I just wanted to point this out.
• NOTE: The bottom side of both butt ends of the handles are bare wood - they have no satin poly finish/ This is how they were manufactured - I just wanted to point this out.
• The darker handle is fine. The lighter handle is also fine - but it has a few very small dark spots / dark line under the finish (natural imperfections).

The logos on the handles are fine.

The packaging (paper part and the clear bag part) that has some visible wear and a little aging.

• The paper part of the packaging is curved (it does not lay flat). The white color has aged a little and is now a slightly off white color. It has several visible creases, some visible unevenness, and a few short tears. And the upper area has a couple of tiny hole from when the packaging was stapled.
• The clear plastic baggie of the packaging has aged / yellowed a little bit, it has several creases, it has a some very small / small dot impressions, it has some extremely light hair-line surface scratches. The top area has a couple of tiny holes from when the bag was stapled and the top edge has unevenness from how the bag was cut. Also the inside of the baggie has some surface cloudiness and some very light surface residue causing some of the cloudiness.

NOTE: There may be a few minor imperfections that I overlooked. There maybe a few minor imperfections that can be seen in person that do not appear in the pictures. Also - there are some imperfections (glares, reflections. dust specks) that show up in the pictures that are not that visible in person.
