Here we have a wonderful ca. 1900, American made guitar. I think it's either a Louis Sutz or a regal made parlor. It features mahogany back, sides and neck, a spruce top and an ebony fretboard and bridge. The guitar has once been restored (not by us.) including a varnish refin, new bridge & saddle and a neck reset. The guitar is ladder braced, featherweight and has a nice v-shaped neck that is not very thick. The guitar features period correct & tiny frets and.
The Guitar itself is in good structural condition for its age. It has a cleated crack going through center seam, some minor top warping and all the other quirks you'd expect from such a lightly braced instrument of that era.
The Guitar has a great sound for some fingerpickin and ragtime. It takes 10s steelstrings without any issues but I wouldn't take any higher gauge. It feels very lively and looks very nice. This is a very cool parlor that is playable and usable.
