This tropical themed 0 size/parlor guitar was built in the 1920's, probably Chicago or Philadelphia, possibly by Regal or Bruno. It's all mahogany, Honduran, in very good shape , no cracks. The hand painted theme on the top is typical of the times and is well executed. The slotted headstock, was not originally all the way through, so I have modified it, to make it possible and easier to restring. The fingerboard was originally a pearloid/mother of toilet seat thing, very gaudy and unserviceable, and has been replaced with an ebony fingerboard. The V neck has been modified to a less sharp V and refinished and stained complimenting the mahogany body more.
The top was originally ladder braced, but has been X braced, the back refinished with shellac and French polish. The bridge is original, modified, re-slotted and a new saddle installed. The pick guard is also new, as are the tuners. This is a lovely playing and sounding instrument and really has a great Bluesy feel. See the attached video link.
