Here's a rare 25" scale Regal parlor model, one of two I've seen with this color fretboard. Most are that yellowish color seen on Supertone, May Bell, Strombberg-Voisinet. I expected it to sound maybe like an old May Bell, or a 30's Kay at best, but when I got it set up was astounded at the volume. It was bright and punchy, like a maple or birch archtop, and louder than my Gibson J50 - louder than any acoustic guitar I've played. The top, which I think is birch, is very thin and the guitar weighs less than 4 pounds, so maybe that's the reason for it's tone. It is a blues banger for sure.

Another thing that sets this little parlor apart from most is the width of the neck. The neck itself has a mild C profile, not as chunky as most 1930's necks, but the nut is a whopping 1 7/8" - and the 18th fret is 2 5/16" across!

So... if you're looking for a really big sound from a little guitar with an extra wide neck maybe this is for you. -- There is a bolt secured through the strap button to hold a neck reset in place, and I've leveled and polished the frets, along with replacing the old tuners. The string height at the 12th fret is set at 1/8" bass side, 3/32" treble side and it plays well there up and down the fretboard.

Ships in a padded gig bag.
