Up for sale is a 1964 Kapa Challenger in very good condition.
These are labeled "Made in USA", though they should be marked "Assembled in
USA", as the body and neck are made in Japan. Pickups (humbuckers), electronics and tuners are made in
Germany by Hofner, Bigsby B3 tailpiece and bridge.
KAPA was a guitar company located in Maryland that
existed from the early sixties to the late sixties, when the assets were bought
out by Micro Frets and Mosrite. This is an early model and one of the most desirable
versions of KAPA guitars because of the Bigsby and the better-quality neck than
later models. Shows typical signs of play and few minor scratches. Includes zippered, heavy vinyl gig bag.
