Today, Lawman Guitars is presenting...
Its not very often you get a chance to buy one of my personal guitars. I have had this extremely RARE Montogomery Wards 1935 Hilly Billy Guitar for years. I had the neck taken off and reset to give it "better than new" Playing action. My Guitar Tech, Jeff the Tech has done a lot of these Cowboy Guitars for me and he is the best. Great playing action on this really cool, very RARE Cowboy Guitar.
Be sure to check out the video Demo we did for this really cool 1935 Hill Billy Cowboy Guitar!
What we have here today is one of my Cowboy Guitars. Those of you that follow
me in Lawman Guitars know I love Cowboy Guitars and the walls of the shop are
covered with them. They all look great with the awesome Stencilled Graphics but
sadly all are unplayable. This one is not!!
My Tech and I were both were
very surprised at how awesome this little guitar turned out. Not only is it a
beautiful VERY RARE Guitar, but its now playable. And very playable. He set this
one up with excellent low playing easy action that can be played for hours with
no discomfort.
As you can see, the graphics are outstanding. There are
no cracks on the top or sides and only superficial wear dings and scratches.
Original Tailpiece, Bridge and Tuners makes this quite the guitar. It even still
has the original Cowboy Cord Strap that it came with.... See pic 13... These cool guitars were only made one year for the 1935 and 1936 Montgomery Wards Catalog. There just wasn't many of these made. I have had two. My customer I sold the last one too 3 years ago loves his...I didn't think I would ever sell this one, but its time. What a cool guitar.
I also have the original Softshell case. Its in fantastic shape as you can see.
The original leather handle is still here as well as the working latches and hinges...See pics 14 and 15....
Check this one out. The Hilly Billy sells for a bunch unplayable. You can have
this one with a reset neck and enjoy playing it as well as looking at it. Grab
it before it’s gone.
Sold as-is no returns as its vintage and used. However, I have been hand picking my customers guitars for over 16 years now. They all love the guitars I find. This one will not be an exception. Check my Feedbacks.
Thanks for checking out our cool guitars.
