1969 Conrad Model 40217 Dreadnought Sunburst Neck Reset Pro Setup Original Soft Shell Case

A beautitful and in great shape, 1969 Conrad Made in Japan Acoustic Sunburst Guitar.... Came complete with the original Soft Shell Case! What a Time Capsule!

We have sold at least a dozen Conrad Baritone Guitars. Our Shop is known for selling those. We had no idea that Conrad even make Acoustic Guitars. The Baritone's are very very popular. They are awesome and this acoustic guitar is also very high quality. If you are one of our Baritone customers, please check this beauty out. You will love it!

We cannot find any dates on this guitar but are estimating it to be from the late 1960's. The case helps that determination but no definite dates for this cool guitar. We are calling it a 1969.

The body measures 15 inches wide. The guitar has a 24 3/4 inch scale neck and the nut measures a full 1 3/4 inches. Big hands and finger pickers like these! Low action which I was happy to find. These are not known for that. Our Tech did a neck reset and then set it up great with a new set of 12 gauge strings. It plays great! No sore fingers with this guitar!

The frets are still in great shape as is the bridge. Original bridge, pickguard, and nut. The tuners were upgraded by our Tech. The originals would not have been very good after this many years. I suspect the truss rod cover is also no original but it may be.... The guitar is in really great shape! Its from 1969 so it has its share of dings and scratches but no cracks or breaks. It appears to be solid spruce on the top and mahogany on the back and sides... The Sunburst finish looks beautiful and its all set to enjoy. Awesome low playing action thats a pleasure to play!

Check out the original soft shell case! Blue Plush lined with all the latches, hinges and original handle still with it. Love the faux alligator print on the tolex. Even the accessory box is still here. Fits the guitar great and is in as nice of shape as the guitar!
