Attention collectors! This is a Silvertone Cowboy Stencil guitar only made for two years; 1958-1959. And, it includes its rare Cowboy and Indians case!
The graphic and top are brilliant! I don’t see any cracks, repaired or otherwise. The back is very nice also. No belt buckle rash. Certainly not perfect after 66 years, but still playable. Please see the attached video.
It looks to be all original. There’s an ornamental tassel that compliments it nicely for displaying. Not sure if it is something that would have come with it originally, but it is a nice touch.
The deep grooves in the neck where open chords are fingered show it was well loved and well played. To treat it gently, I’ve strung it with new Folk Nylon strings.
There’s a small gap in backside of bridge but it isn’t affecting the guitar overall. Three slots of the nut have been filled to raise them back up to a playable height. A musty odor remains after cleaning the guitar and case. Hopefully this will dissipate as time passes.
Sold as is in vintage condition. I’ll ship it insured, which means a signature will be required. Thank you!
