About This Listing

Today, Lawman guitars is Presenting...

A Super Cool Vintage 1965 Airline Bobcat with the awesome DeArmond Diamond Case Pickup. This guitar is all original including the great shape Harmony Case. The guitar is dated to 1965 from the date on the underside of the pickguard of Dec 2 1965.....see pic 5...These Airline Guitars were made by Harmony and were just like the Harmony bobcats in body and neck. Slight difference in the pickguard shape and they used the Diamond Case DeArmond Pickups instead of the gold foil DeArmonds. Other than that, all Harmony made with quality USA Harmony Guitar parts!

I have sold 6 of these cool Airline Guitars over the past year. All my customers have loved them. This is one of the cleanest Airline Bobcats I have had. Hardly any wear on the original frets...see pic 8... Only one tip missing from the truss rod cover..only superficial dings and such on this beauty. There is a lamination line showing on the headstock... See pic 10... There is no danger of the 3 piece headstock coming apart. When the glue squeeze out occured, they didn't get it all cleaned up before shooting the finish. That is why you see the line. I see that a lot with these.

So why is there a pickup selector switch on a single pickup guitar? You can set another tone setting and when you switch to that, you get the tone selection. Switch it back and it disengages the tone cap for lead playing. Two sounds out of a single pickup guitar. Great idea and very ahead of the times thinking from the folks at Harmony who built this guitar.

This guitar plays, looks and sounds great. If you have not experienced the DeArmond Pickups..be prepared to be amazed. They are so strong and in your face. Everbody I have sold these to love them.  I love these!

This guitar is really cool....Our Techs did a great job setting it up with a new set of Dr Ducks 10 guage strings.. It plays with awesome easy playing low action. All Original and it sounds huge. Love the DeArmond Diamond Case Pickup in this one..

Happy to say we have the original Harmony Softshell Case for this one. The handle was missing in action so we had a new replacement handle installed. It works perfectly now. The accessory box is still in the case but the lid is held on with duct tape. Aren't they all? LOL...A great case for this terrific original guitar!
