This is a vintage 1971 Sano 250R. Like many Sano amps, the 250R was made with accordion in mind, but also worked great for guitars. There's a strange history between Sano and Ampeg, and it can be seen and heard in this amp. It shares a lot of design and tonal similarities to the Gemini and Reverberockets.
It is a stereo amp, though amplified mono through 2x12" Eminence speakers. It is all tube, and pushes about 30W with a tube complement of 3x 12AX7, 5Y3 rectifier, and 2x 7591 for output. It also has spring reverb and tremolo. All its electrolytic caps have been replaced, so it is in awesome condition and sounds amazing. Super clean and real nice to look at, too!
It is currently only available to be picked up locally. Our shop is located in Peekskill, NY - just an hour North of Manhattan and easily accessed by the Metro North Railroad. Come try it out!
