EDIT: was mistaken on the date three digit date code of 551 could be either 1955 or 1965, but the 7591 tube did not come out until 1959 so that would make this 1965/1966. my apologies if this lead you astray

so here's a neat one (especially for a Jersey boy like me)! this is either a very late 1965 or (more likely) early 1966 (based on the cts speaker date code of the 51st week of 1965) sano model 20w all tube combo amp. there's zero info on this specific model online as it has tremolo but no reverb like the similar model 20wr. glancing at the schematic briefly they appear to be identical besides the reverb portion (2x12ax7 1x12au7 2x7591a 1x5y3 tube complement).
you reverberocket fans should recognize that, eh?
shortly before coming to me this had the electro caps replaced and a proper 3-prong power cord installed.
man those ladies they had wiring these sano amps did such pretty work!
when i received this there was crackling in the tremolo circuit so after cleaning all the jacks and pots with contact cleaner didn't fix it i found a bad solder joint and upon fixing it the tremolo works great! lovely power tube bias tremolo!
this amp sounds great! nice warm vintage tube tone but you can dial in some bite, especially if you use the old 4 hole Marshall jump the channel trick. that makes the amp HOWL.
for its age i think this and is in pretty great condition, especially considering that it's covered in canvas instead of tolex and they didn't use metal corners to protect the corners. there dents in the bottom corners, a few tears (especially on the bottom) in the canvas, canvas shows scuffs and discoloration, it's missing one screw from the back panel (if i were to keep this i'd replace the flat head screws and finish washers with new shiny ones), there's some discoloration along the bottom of the grill cloth if you look closely. i would consider this normal wear for a 64 year old amp. I'm sure this could tell some stories!
a footswitch is included for the tremolo. i have no idea if this was original or not but i will include it.
this will be well packaged, insured, with signature release but please understand that this is being sold as is.

i hope somebody will enjoy this great amp! i have too many!
