Sano 16W Vintage 1x12 Tube Amplifier Point-to-Point EL84

Here we have a 1964 Sano model 16W vintage 1x12 tube amplifier in good condition and fine working order. A lesser known tube amp company from the Golden Age of amp making, Sano amps are finally getting some of the recognition and respect they deserve. Built to a high standard with all wood cabinet and point to point wiring--what we would call "boutique" nowadays and a great value for a quality circuit.  2-12AX7s, 2-EL84s, 5Y3 rectifier. The control layout is simple and elegant, with Volume, Tone and a Tremolo knob that varies the speed with a fixed depth. The Tremolo is a real vintage throbber. You will need a footswitch to turn it on or off (it's on all the time otherwise) but any footswitch will do. Featuring inputs for Guitar, Accordion and "Instrument," this Sano has a dynamic, clear tone, great for jazz, country, blues, rhythm work. The circuit is original and untouched, with stock transformers and a very precise and clear chassis layout. The stock speaker is a blue frame Utah that easily handles the 16 watts of the two EL84 power tubes (Speaker code 328448, meaning it was made in the 48th week of 1964.) The cabinet and faceplate are clean, with original tolex, grillcloth and knobs. Rubber feet on bottom. There are some scuffs and nicks scattered about on the edges of the cabinet from honest use over the past 50 years. The only thing that has been changed is the addition of a three-pronged grounded plug for the power cord. The old power cord is included along with original paperwork consisting of the schematic, warranty card and Sano envelope. A full compliment of tubes are likewise included.  At 30.4lbs it's a heavy amp. Notice: I do have cats so bear that in mind if ordering. The amp will of course be cleaned but it's possible some cat hair might sneak in, as cat hair will. No returns so ask questions, do your research to make sure this vintage amplifier is what you want. Suggested mods: could be tweaked into a Vox/Rain maker circuit. Change the speaker, maybe to something modern and suited to overdrive.
