SANO 500 R-12 2x12" Point to Point Vintage Amplifier
This is a terrific deal on a little known but highly desireable 50 watt 2x12 tube amplifier with Reverb and Tremolo - the Sano 500R-12. These were high level professional amps of their day similar to the Magnatone line and they are finely crafted and built to last. Made in the 60's and 70's and at
50 watts, in the same vein as Ampeg Reverbrocket and Fender Twin. E

Excellent stereo feature, true stereo, tube driven tremolo, that is lush and musical. A reverb that is equally lush and vibrant and rich. 2 channels, each with 2 inputs with aux input and separate eq control, ext. out. Awesome tone and meticulously crafted point to point wiring, ala hiwatt or vintage ampeg amps. Has other comparisons to a very hard to find Marshall 18w and Harmony 415 when pushed, dark growly almost fuzzy overdrive. This should make a great Rock, Jazz, RnB or Country guitar amplifier. Notes are heard clean all the way up and down the volume scale, has beautiful bell like tonal characteristics. Traditionally an Accordion amplifier this makes for a great guitar amplifier for any genre, but honestly, the ability to route many options, this thing takes pedals extremely well to handle any type of music, clean or dirty, will be awesome!
I should also mention this thing with a combination extension speaker is something else. I've put it thru different cabs and 4x12" and 2x12" are both in credible additions, as is a 2x10" with punchier mids.

NOTE: Price on these are showing up in the $1000-$1200 range nowadays; The reverb on this amp is fading and from my tech it likely needs a service including caps and perhaps some tubes, although the tubes are all firing and look great, none are microphonic at all. Price drop is reflecting the possibility of that service. Otherwise, besides maintenance and regular play (point to point amps need love) this should last anyone quite a while as these were made to last and simple to work on. The tubes are all original as well, mostly GE and RCA tubes from the 70's. This amp has its own hum control.
