Video: Source Audio Nemesis Delay

Source Audio has finally released the long-awaited, buzzed-about Nemesis Delay, featuring 12 separate onboard delay engines with access to 12 more through the company’s Neuro Mobile App. Though it’s compact, don’t let its size fool you — this powerful pedal packs a punch and makes no compromises. It’s flexible, it’s intuitive, and it both emulates old favorites and brings innovative, unique new delays to the table.

The Nemesis’ 12 delay engines range from classic to out-there, including a slapback engine, digital delay, the shimmering helix engine, reverse and more. It even models some of the most iconic delays out there: the Roland Space Echo, accessible with the noise tape engine, the Echoplex EP-3, using the tape engine, and the Electro-Harmonix Memory Man, with the analog engine.

Of course, the Nemesis has a bevy of easy-to-use knobs and switches. Control your delay engine of choice with the mod knob and shape it further using feedback, rate and intensity controls. Basic time and mix knobs are present as well. However, the nitty-gritty features are where the Nemesis starts to get really fun.

Using the tap tempo switch, the Nemesis will activate the “Freeze” control, which freezes a select part of the delay in a continuous loop for even more creative options. The Nemesis also features an expression control, which can be assigned to any knob or combination of knobs to give you hands-off capabilities. Save up to eight onboard presets that can be recalled with the pedal’s controls, or, with the Nemesis’ MIDI functionality, save and call back up to 128 presets. The Nemesis even has stereo input and output jacks, just to top it all off.

Finally, Source Audio has designed and released their Neuro Mobile App, through which you can take your parameter editing to the next level. Download those 12 additional delay engines for free, get into some deep editing of your parameters for the ultimate sound customization, or save, share and download other presets. If you thought the Nemesis itself was comprehensive, the Neuro App gives you even more control over your delay.
