Truth be told, the Warwick RockBass Alien Standard’s hybrid design is anything but standard, merging warm acoustic tones, plugged-in power, and world-renowned Warwick craftsmanship. A solid spruce top gives the RockBass Alien Standard a touch-sensitive responsiveness and a woody tone, brightened by the body’s laminated agathis back and sides. Moreover, a Fishman Sonitone preamp and a Sonicore Piezo pickup faithfully translate the Alien Standard’s acoustic tone into the plugged-in realm, complete with a plethora of tone-shaping controls. Arguably more impressive, the Alien Standard manages to retain the effortless playability of a traditional Warwick solidbody in this instrument’s decidedly non-traditional acoustic electric form factor
