PRS SE Hollowbody I Piezo Flatback – Lake Blue (S/N: CTII002801)

Includes PRS Padded Gig Bag

The PRS SE Hollowbody I Piezo Flatback combines hollowbody resonance with the familiar comfort and versatility of a modern electric guitar. Finished in beautiful Lake Blue, this individual guitar pairs a maple top with flame maple veneer, solid mahogany flatback, Wide Fat maple neck, PRS 85/15 “S” humbuckers and an LR Baggs/PRS Piezo system.

Use it as a traditional electric, switch to acoustic-style piezo textures, blend the two systems together, or route them independently to separate rigs. For the player who needs one instrument to cover an exceptional amount of musical territory, this is a remarkably capable PRS—available now at Northeast Music Center.

The Flatback Difference

The Flatback design is what immediately separates the Hollowbody I Piezo from the more traditional PRS Hollowbody II.

PRS uses a slimmer, contoured solid mahogany back designed to sit against the player more like an electric guitar. You still experience the resonance and openness that make a hollowbody special, but the flatter rear profile gives the instrument a more familiar feel for players accustomed to solidbody electrics.

If you've always liked hollowbody tone but prefer the feel of a traditional electric guitar against your body, the Hollowbody I Flatback bridges that gap beautifully.

Lake Blue – Cool, Elegant & Distinctive

The Lake Blue finish brings out the figuring of the maple veneer while cream binding, twin F-holes, rosewood fretboard and nickel hardware create a sophisticated contrast.

It's distinctive without being overdone—a modern PRS finish that still complements the traditional elegance of a hollowbody guitar.

85/15 “S” Humbuckers + LR Baggs/PRS Piezo

The magnetic side of the guitar is powered by PRS 85/15 “S” Treble and Bass humbuckers, delivering clarity, balance and extended frequency response.

A simple 3-way toggle provides Bridge, Bridge + Neck, and Neck pickup combinations, giving you everything needed from the electric side of the instrument.

Then the LR Baggs/PRS Piezo system opens an entirely different tonal direction.

Six individual piezo-equipped saddles are incorporated into the PRS Adjustable Stoptail Piezo bridge, producing an acoustic-style voice that can be used independently or blended with the magnetic pickups.

Separate Magnetic Volume and Piezo Volume controls make the system easy to use. Run the 85/15 “S” pickups alone, use the piezo for acoustic-style textures, or blend the two for sounds that combine electric warmth with additional attack and acoustic-like definition.

Two Outputs – Two Independent Signal Paths

This is where the Hollowbody I Piezo becomes especially useful for stage and studio work.

Use the Mix/Piezo output to send both pickup systems through a single signal path.

Or use both outputs simultaneously—sending the 85/15 “S” humbuckers to an electric guitar amp, pedalboard or modeler while routing the LR Baggs/PRS Piezo to an acoustic amplifier, DI, PA or separate recording channel.

That means one guitar can provide two completely different voices through two independent rigs.

When the magnetic output is used by itself, the piezo battery is bypassed, so the magnetic pickups continue operating even if the piezo battery becomes depleted.

Wide Fat Neck & 25" Scale

The Wide Fat neck profile provides a substantial, supportive feel that works beautifully with the Hollowbody I platform.

PRS's familiar 25" scale length balances comfortable string tension with clear note definition, while the 10" radius rosewood fretboard and 22 frets make the guitar equally comfortable for chords, bends, rhythm work and expressive lead playing.
