Updated for 2026! The MTD Kingston Z is the flagship model of the Kingston line and takes many of its design cues from MTD Handmade USA basses.
This Kingston Z6 features an alder body with a maple burl top, roasted maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, active electronics, MTD Soapbar pickups, and a 35" scale length designed for clear, controlled low-end response. The roasted neck adds stability and a comfortable broken-in feel, while MTD’s asymmetrical neck and compound 10"-14" fingerboard radius make this extended-range bass comfortable for long sessions.
Like all MTD Kingston instruments, the Z6 undergoes a rigorous quality control and setup process in Kingston, NY by master technicians. The MTD Quick Release bridge allows fast string changes, and Licensed Hipshot Ultralite tuners provide reliable tuning performance without unnecessary neck dive.
