Pre-installed GK-5 pickup for BOSS® guitar/bass synthesizers

This model comes pre-installed with the GK-5 pickup for BOSS® brand guitar and bass synthesizers, such as the BOSS® GM-800.

The GK-5's base is installed inside the body for a sleek look, and the synthesizer's tone switching and volume control can now be done at your fingertips.

About BOSS® Guitar/Bass Synthesizer Compatibility

To connect and play the guitar/bass synthesizer, please purchase the following separately sold devices.

① Digital Serial-compatible Guitar/Bass Synthesizer

*BOSS® 13-pin analog BOSS® guitar and bass synthesizers can also be supported by connecting the BOSS® GK Converter GKC-DA (sold separately). However, some of the controls listed below may not function.

Name and function of each control

Bass Neck Vol: Adjusts the volume of the neck pickup. Turning this control clockwise increases the volume, and turning it fully clockwise decreases the volume to zero.

Bass Bridge Vol: Adjusts the volume of the bridge pickup. Turn clockwise to increase the volume, and turn fully clockwise to decrease the volume to zero.

Bass Tone: Adjusts the bass tone quality. Turning clockwise cuts the high frequency range and gives a rounded sound. (Turbo switch is turned on when pulled up, and a series connection is made.)

GK Vol: Adjusts the volume of the guitar/bass synthesizer.

GK Tone Selector: Toggles the tone of the guitar/bass synthesizer.

GK / MIX / BASS Select SW: Switches outputs according to performance conditions.

GK ... Outputs guitar and bass synthesizer audio only.

MIX ... Outputs both the guitar/bass synthesizer sound and the guitar's own sound.

BASS ... Outputs only the bass guitar sound.

*To enable this switching function, set the OUTPUT MODE to “SYN/NORM” or “NORM MIX” in the OUTPUT SELECT of the GM-800's IN/OUT SETTING. (GM-800 ver. 1.0). (Compatible with GM-800 ver 1.10 or later)

BASS Output: Used when using the bass alone. Compatible with general bass shielded cables.

GK Output: Used when connecting to a guitar or bass synthesizer.

GK Output is compatible only with BOSS® Digital Serial GK cables.

Use as a normal electric guitar/bass is also possible.

If you connect the output of the magnetic pickup to a guitar/bass amp with a standard shielded cable, you can use it as a normal electric guitar/bass.

The synthesizer output alone, or a mix of synthesizer and magnet output, etc. can be selected according to the player's preference.

Ash body and see-through color

The body is made of ash wood, which has a wide range and good sound transmission, and is finished in a see-through color that brings out the grain of the wood.

WL series with low-stud maple neck

Roasted maple is a material made from maple that has been heated at high temperatures to volatilize the water and oil in the wood, thereby increasing its rigidity. When used in the neck, the effect is not only stable but also sonic, producing a rich, raw sound and a vintage tone that has aged well.

This is a new product lineup from Bacchus that brings the authentic specifications often used in high-end models into a reasonable price range.
