High-gain tone should be powerful—not noisy. The BOSS NS-1X Noise Suppressor uses advanced Multi-Dimensional Processing (MDP) technology to intelligently reduce unwanted noise while preserving the natural tone, attack, sustain, and playing feel of your guitar or bass.

Three operating modes make the NS-1X exceptionally versatile. Reduction provides natural noise control for everyday playing, while Gate delivers an ultra-fast response for high-gain riffs, tapping, sweep picking, and other precision techniques. Mute provides convenient signal muting for tuning, instrument changes, or breaks.

The Threshold, Decay, and Damp controls allow precise adjustment, while the dedicated send/return loop makes it possible to place noisy overdrive and distortion pedals within the suppression circuit for optimized results.
