Up for grabs is ONE pair of new old stock (with packaging) authentic Adams Cloyd Duff #9 (CD9) Hickory Flip Stick (TIMPANI Mallets / Sticks). Made in Holland. From around 2019.

• CORE: Both cores on one piece turned hickory with bulb shaped wood on one end and small felt ball opposite
• DESCRIPTION: Extremely Hard / General
• USAGE: For quick changes from wood to felt
• TONE COLOR: Extremely bright to general, similar to # 3

Measurements :

• Diameter of lower bout of shaft / stick (FELT END): 1/2" thi s measurement goes up to around mid point of stick.
• Diameter of lower bout of shaft / stick (WOOD BULB END): about 3/8" and this end of the stick gets slighty wider (gradually gets to 1/2") as it goes up to mid point
• Diameter of wood bulb: 1"
• Diameter of felt head: 1 and 1/4"
• Full Length: about 14 and 7/8"

I got these flip stick mallets back in 2019 (even back then - they were in new old stock condition). NOTE: I was planning to sell them sooner - but was kind of busy. Finally getting a chance to sell them now.

The flip stick mallets unused condition MINT condition - but there are a few very minor things to point out.:

• One flip stick mallet is in MINT condition. The wood is fine - the wood bulb just has a tiny brown spot (natural wood imperfection) under the clear finish.
• The other filp stick mallet is also in MINT condition [the wood bulb has a tiny very light gray speck under the clear finish -- SEE close up picture # 8. And this stick mallet has a few natural wood imperfections (small brown spots / short brown lines) here & there.
• NOTE: any very small / small round white spots on the wood bulbs and any white spots and / or white lines on other areas of the wood are just glares.

The packaging is in between Very Good and Good shape (some people might say that the packaging is in VG shape).

The packaging (paper part and the clear bag part) that has some visibe aging same some visible wear.

• The paper part of the packaging has a couple of visible medium length & short creases on many areas. The upper area of the paper has noticeable unevenness - some of this unevenness is from the creases. The center area of the paper has some uneveness & some short line impressions / short creases. The lower ares has some noticeable unevenness (mostly from the creases). These imperfections are on both sides of the paper - but because of the gloss black color on the fronst side - they show up more on the front side compared to the flat sheen mostly aged-white color on the back side.
• The clear plastic baggie has slighty aged / slightly yellowed. It has several visible imperfections: some cloudiness, some cloudy surface residue inside the bag, several creases, some uneveness, a few tiny nicks, several tiny & very small dot impressions, and some very light scratches.
