Next, all functional issues are repaired neatly and using only high quality and authentic parts. We do not use surplus or parts of unverifiable origin. All parts come from legitimate distributors or our in house stock of parts hich includes hard to find NOS parts and clean pulls. We also are makers of things like factory style midi retrofits and adapters that are used by techs worldwide and in our restorations to bring the maximum functionality and firmware to what we sell.

Description:

For your consideration is a Moog Minimoog Model D

Minimoogs are one of our specialties here at Rosen Sound. We take much pride in making amazing Model D's by utilizing our restore parts kits. This Model D has been fully restored including new key bushings, polished bus bars, new capacitors, new trim pots that can still be trimmed from the back panel, and countless hours spent making it an exceptional example of one of the best synthesizers ever made.

Most if not all Model D's we stock are going to be made between 1973-74 and include the "old" oscillator board that utilize the 3046 transistor array. After we get done with these, we believe they're the best examples of minimoogs and hold their tune the best while still retaining that classic moog character.

We can add midi to this is the buyer would like midi. Just let us know.

Pricing: We price our items considerably higher on reverb than we would on a direct sale basis because of Reverb’s high sellers fees. Do with that info what you will.

Why Vintage? First, yes, vintage synths sound better. Vintage synths still represent the pinnacle of synthesizer instrument craftsmanship in our experience. They have lasted 40+ years now and will be repairable well into the future since most parts are standard parts and rare proprietary parts are becoming available again by reissue or equivalent function circuitry. Also, vintage instruments tend to hold their value better than newer instruments, which is an important thing to consider before spending thousands of dollars on something that can and will become non functional and non repairable one day. New synthesizers are generally made to meet a price point and strict regulation, and thusly end up being mostly made of plastic, built by tiny robot arms, and contain CPU’s, PLC’s, & DAC’s with unrecoverable proprietary coding, not to mention the arduous process of repair if you can even get the programmed parts. There’s a reason modern manufacturers are still basing their designs and reissues on vintage synths. It’s because the old stuff is the best stuff. Buy the genuine article, not the copy!

Warranty: All synthesizers we sell are backed by our generous lifetime warranty against work related defects. This means if there are problems down the line with the synthesizer in respects to the works we performed, we will more than happily help you to get you back up and running. Please note however that all sales are final.

Careful attention is given to each machine to ensure a safe journey to its new home. No expense is spared while packing yet we also ensure opening the box is not a frustrating experience.
We offer free CONUS shipping if you are able to pick it up from your closest major airport (easier than you'd imagine). If you require shipping, we will bill you after the fact the true cost of shipping. We do not charge handling fees on items we sell.
