About this listing
The Minimoog Model D, a legendary instrument that can be called the original synthesizer. The Minimoog Model D is known as the epitome of vintage synthesizers?truly a masterpiece among masterpieces. Released in 1970, the Minimoog Model D was the worldfs first portable synthesizer, and it defined the form of keyboard-type synthesizers that followed. Unlike the modular synthesizers of the time, which required manual patching, the Minimoog Model D integrated oscillators, filters, amplifiers, envelopes, modulation wheels, and even the keyboard through internal wiring, allowing users to produce sounds intuitively without the need for patching. This structure was revolutionary and can be considered the prototype for modern synthesizers. Combining the gorgeous sound inherited from Moogfs massive modular synthesizers with the ease of use provided by internal wiring, the Minimoog Model D garnered widespread acclaim from musicians around the world. For over 50 years since its release, it has been used by numerous world-class artists?including Trent Reznor, Gary Numan, Dr. Dre, Keith Emerson, and Herbie Hancock?and has made a significant contribution to the formation of new musical genres with its unique sound. Its thick, warm, and one-of-a-kind sound has not faded even more than half a century after its release, continuing to captivate many musicians. Its sound character has been carried on by the MINIMOOG VOYAGER series, and since 2017, the original Minimoog Model D has been reissued several times. It has also been recreated in replicas by other manufacturers and in software synthesizers, and remains beloved by many musicians to this day.
