August Carlstedt acoustic parlor guitar likely from the 1900 -teens era #1317 stamped on neck block.

Body measures 13 inches at the lower bout, 9 1/2" at upper bout, and is 3 3/4" deep. 24 1/2" scale.

Original finish is excellent, straight neck with plently of saddle in the bridge. Book-matched mahogany back, and sides, spruce top with rosewood bridge and heel cap. One piece mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard, slot headstock with original reverse gear tuners.

There are two back cracks each about 7 inches long, and 1 long top crack, a shorter hairline, and center seam separation below the bridge. Cracks have been glue repaired, some unknown chip marks around the sound hole (see pics). I don't believe the bridge to be original, and it's lifting slightly on the bottom corner, also atleast two of the back braces are loose near the ends (see pic). Ships in chipboard case.

Note:

A. Carlsteadt was a Swedish immigrint who setup shop in Chicago, and was a contemorary of the Larson Bros. This is a project guitar as it will need some expert repair to be made play perfect. That being said it has some really good bones with lots of potential. Well over 100 years old these seldom surface.
