This is a very interesting guitar labeled: L.VIOHL/MANUFACTURER/FLUSHING, has an arched mahogany back and sides and an unbound spruce top with inlaid mahogany rosette rings. There are twelve brass frets to the body and eighteen total. It has a rosewood fingerboard, a pyramid bridge. The neck is mahogany and there are three-in-line open tuners on brass plates stamped with leaves and with bone tuner knobs on the slotted head. Measurements: 13-1/2″ body. These guitars were made in the 1890's.
Obvious wear on the front (it's 150 years old!) The wood and lacquer are very... can I use the word "rustic"?
Action is a little naturally high, probably great for slide playing. I had the peg board replaced so the bridge is sturdy and the instrument is ready for picking.
Item is sold AS IS and returns will not be accepted. I have done my best to describe this relic of a guitar and it is in playable condition. Please contact me with any questions.
