2016 Crews NEXT 5D Limited Edition 1 of 20 examples made, in NEAR MINT Condition MORE photos & description coming SOON
The Crews NEXT 5D model was produced by Terada, for the 2016 50th Anniversary of Music Land Key, one of the largest musical instrument retailers in Japan. The NEXT 5D model was limited to 20 pieces total, and is based on an original 1958 Gibson Les Paul, owned by Crews master luthier Kikuo Yoshioka. The NEXT 5D had an original MSRP of 345,600 yen, which is about $3,300 USD at current conversion rates. I purchased this example about four years ago, from Music Land Key/Osaka, with non-original pickups previously installed in the guitar.

CONDITION: I rated this example as EXCELLENT as I cannot locate a single ding anywhere on the entire guitar. The plastic protective films are fully intact on the truss rod cover, the 3 way switch rear route cover, the control route cover, and on the pick guard. Fret wear is undetectable, and any superficial scratch, or abrasion is nearly impossible to locate. If not for the fact this example has non-original pickups, I would rate the guitar as NEAR MINT.
ORIGINALITY: With the exception of non-original pickups, this example is otherwise in original condition.
BUILD QUALITY: The craftsmanship, materials, and attention to detail on this NEXT 5D are impeccable, and that is to be expected from a limited edition guitar that is 'hand made.' Good luck locating this high level of build quality for a lower price point, from any maker.
