Life’s a "bich"…until you own one... This model was the wet dream of every young shredder back in 1978 and it continues to drop jaws and excite players and collectors 45 years later. This stunning six string beauty tick all the boxes on the list needed to pass the Dude's test. Great tone and playability, sick looks and versatility to allow you to play what you feel and desire with zero compromise. It features a neck through construction, Pearl White finish with a black body seam, diamond inlays and dual Humbuckers are that are hot as hell and ready to smoke some riffs off and fire away some intense solos that will cut through the mix and any annoying drummer.

The Bich was introduced in 1978 following the success of B.C. Rich’s other solidbody guitars, which included the Mockingbird, the Seagull, and the Eagle. The roots of the B.C. Rich brand come from a maker of Flamenco and Classical guitars back in the 60's in East Los Angeles. The introduction of the Bich in 1978 turned the company’s direction from building acoustic guitars for traditional Spanish and Mexican music, to building the pointy guitars that would rock players 'like a hurricane' in the ‘80s.

The Bich is a pointy guitar, but the points have purpose. B.C. Rich founder and president, Bernie Rico, had been throwing guitar ideas around with fellow guitar designer Dave Bunker. A guitar designer named Neal Moser, had a concept for a 10-string guitar and got involved with the duo. Eventually the trio created a spectacular guitar and that is how the Bich was born. The bizarre pie-shaped wedge cut out from the guitar’s bottom actually serves a purpose. It provides the space needed for the additional tuners required to be a 10-string guitar. (This one is a six string, and it still looks cool) This weird and unconventional guitar led to certain rockers posing suggestively with the guitar as if it was a law against nature and this further led to the desire of all players needing to get their hands on one. The finish on this Bich is a jaw dropping translucent red with a slight undertone of hazy, metallic purple at certain angles. The pictures do this guitar a lot of justice, but when you set eyes on her in person, you are bound to be blown away.

Cult favorite players such as Slash, MIck Taylor, Neil Geraldo, Joe Perry, and Craig Chaquico brewed up some pretty awesome riffs on these guitars. It wasn't just the looks for most aficionados,The Bich, like other early B.C. Rich guitars, was adorned with switches. A signature B.C. Rich characteristic in which the saying, 'the more the merrier' comes to fruition. Players benefited from the guitar’s over-the-top electronics. There was a six-position Varitone circuit, mini-toggles that activated on-board preamps, pickup phase reversal, one big toggle serving as the pickup selector, and a few volume and tone pots that led to the ability of blasting your head off when you cranked the amp up. Everything functions flawlessly and the neck (Slim D Profile) is perfectly straight. It plays effortlessly and sounds sounds amazing thanks to the slight hotter than a PAF dual black bobbin humbucking pickups. The sick looks and mojo will have heads turning and jaws dropping when then this Bich is heard belting out some serious rock. It is extremely versatile tone wise but perfectly capable and willing of shredding with the best of them. Studio or stage worthy and in collection worthy original condition, this beast its the perfect compliment to your stash. Don't snooze and miss out on this incredible B.C. Rich.

This awesome piece is in really great shape for being made in the 90's or so. The minor bumps and bruises are part of the territory when a guitar is as rad and bad-ass as this one is to play. You could find a few small dings, indentations, chips on the corner edges, scuffs and a few fine surface scratches, but they just let you know how hard she is to put down and allow you to rock out worry free. Don't miss your chance to strap on your big boy pants and see what real metal playing is about!
