This bass sold a few weeks ago and has come back—good as new, buyer opted for a custom-order model—but technically, we have to sell it as a used instrument at a big markdown. Mint condition (please note finish flaw between pickups—it arrived that way from the factory).
This is the first G.Gould 6-string we’ve had, and it’s a killer. The GGi6 features a richly grained cocobola top and swamp ash back, with a purple heart stripe in-between. The graphite neck has a phenolic fingerboard with 24 frets and 35” scale—a G. Gould innovation—to allow proper tension and improved tuning on the low B string.
The electronics package includes EMG45X pickups run through the EMG-BTS active Bass and Treble system for a great sound and feel to match the gorgeous look. Other features included black hardware, Gotoh Res-O-Lite tuners, quick-release 18V battery compartment and heavy-duty Pro gig bag.
This bass arrived with a small finish flaw between the neck and neck pickup (photos are included). The performance of the bass isn’t affected in any way. Please call JD at Corner for information (615-297-9559).
If you’re not familiar with G. Gould, Geoff Gould is known as “the Godfather of Graphite.” As founder and president of Modulus Graphite, Geoff introduced the world to carbon fiber composite-neck basses (among other innovations). Now he’s crafting spectacular instruments with his eponymous G.Gould Music brand, and we love ‘em!
