The Fender American Ultra II Jazz Bass V is a five-string electric bass featuring a select alder body with sculpted contours and a quartersawn maple neck with a Modern "D" profile. Its quartersawn maple fingerboard features a 10"-14" compound radius, Ultra rolled edges, 21 medium-jumbo frets, and Luminlay side dots for comfortable playability across the neck. A pair of Ultra II Noiseless Vintage Jazz Bass pickups works with an 18-volt active preamp, providing active/passive S-1 switching, a three-band active EQ, passive tone control, and switchable midrange frequency. An adjustable five-saddle HiMass bridge, lightweight Fender tuning machines, anodized aluminum pickguard, and included Deluxe Molded Case complete the Avalanche-finished instrument.
