Vintage 9x13 Black Cortex Tom w/ Ludwig Hardware 6-Ply Shell B/O Badge

Vintage 9x13 rack tom in Black Cortex with Ludwig hardware and Blue/Olive badge.

PLEASE NOTE: I cannot verify that the shell itself is an original Ludwig shell, so I am selling and describing this drum accordingly. It may be Ludwig, but because of previous modifications and replacement hardware, I do not want to represent it as an all-original Ludwig drum.

The drum has a 6-ply wood shell with natural interior. Exterior hardware appears to be Ludwig, including the small Classic lugs and Ludwig Modular tom mount. It also has a pointed-corner Ludwig Blue/Olive badge.

There is evidence of previous modification around the tom-mount opening, and some of the interior screws and washers are clearly later replacements/non-original hardware. The badge is present as shown, but I cannot verify its originality to this particular shell.

Cosmetically, the drum presents nicely overall. The Black Cortex finish retains a good gloss with typical scratches, scuffs and normal wear from age and use. The chrome hardware is generally quite clean with some normal age-related wear. Please examine the photos carefully for the exact cosmetic condition.

Both heads are used Remo Pinstripes and show normal playing wear.

This would make a nice player's tom, project drum, or source for vintage Ludwig parts. I have tried to photograph the shell, interior, badge, mount and hardware clearly so the buyer can make their own assessment regarding originality.

Because I cannot document the history of the shell or previous modifications, this drum is being sold as a vintage 9x13 Black Cortex tom with Ludwig hardware rather than as a verified all-original Ludwig drum.
