This USA made Martin custom dreadnaught centennial acoustic electric guitar (Limited Edition) is a full dreadnought body with a soft cutaway and a natural semi-gloss finish on the solid Sitka spruce top, with a satin finish on the Mahogany neck, and a satin finish on the Indian Rosewood back and sides. The guitar includes the best Fishman VT electronics including tuner which shows off the traditional Martin resonance which high quality spruce plus Rosewood Tonewoods produce. Light reflections in pictures make the beautiful spruce top les attractive then it is in person.

The most recent MSRP’s range around $2499.95 as per Harry at Martin, so the Custom is not the most expensive or ornate Martin, and is more like a working Musician's D-28 shaped cutaway martin, however, with its fully bound body, and multi-stripe rosette, it is still a striking instrument. The rosewood bridge with white pins, 14/20-fret rosewood fingerboard with Style 28 pearl-dot inlay, rosewood peghead, and three-per-side enclosed chrome tuners finish the picture of a quality guitar, topped off, of course, with the C. F. Martin gold foil logo on the headstock which says plenty. It's hard to find a USA Made Martin with Rosewood sides and back under $2000 used, but I made sure it was fairly priced!

The awesome playability and sound verify the quality promised by the name. Naturally, the Custom body dimensions are similar to those of most D-28C dreadnoughts: 11 ½” wide at the upper bout, 16” at the lower bout, and 4 ½” deep; the nut is 1 11/16” and the scale length is 25.4”. What distinguishes it from most guitars in its price range—including many newer Martin models—is the solid quality from top to bottom.
