The Warwick RockBass Alien Deluxe Hybrid Thinline is a high-quality 5-string acoustic bass that convinces with its careful workmanship, selected materials and versatile pickup equipment. With its 34" Long Scale and the additional deep H-string, it offers an extended range of tones and a confident approach in the deep register. The flatter thinline body makes the instrument particularly handy and comfortable and is specially designed for acceptance via the integrated pickup system.

The solid spruce top ensures a clear approach and a balanced sound. Frames and floor made of laminated walnut wood give the instrument a noble look and support the resonant sound characteristic. The mahoganium halse in set-neck construction guarantees optimal vibration transmission and contributes to a balanced sound. This is complemented by a high-quality Wenge fingerboard with 24 extra-high jumbo frets made of a durable titanium brass alloy. Rounded waistbands with Warwick IFT (Invisible Fretwork Technology) ensure a particularly comfortable gaming feel and precise playability. Green fluorescent “glow-in-the-dark” side dots facilitate the safe orientation on the fingerboard even on dark stages. The height-adjustable Warwick Just-A-Nut III Tedur saddle optimizes the string position of the bass in seconds by screw and ensures maximum tuning stability and brilliant sound.

Equipped with a Shadow NanoMag pickup under the fingerboard and a Shadow NanoFlex Piezo pickup under the bridge saddle, the Alien Thinline offers versatile possibilities for individual sound design. The Shadow E-Sonic 2HD Preamp allows the precise tuning of both pickups. Separate volume and tone controllers are available for each pickup, while the mixing ratio between the two sound sources can be conveniently adjusted via the blend controller. The polarity of the signal can be rotated by 180 degrees via the integrated phase switch. This helps to prevent feedback and makes it possible to optimally mix the sound of both pickups with each other. An integrated tuner also allows a fast and comfortable voice directly on the instrument. The battery status indicator reliably informs about the remaining battery capacity.

Two outputs are available for the signal transmission. Output 1 transmits the signal of the preamp and serves as a belt pin at the same time. Output 2 transmits only the signal of the magnetic Shadow NanoMag pickup and is located below the endpin socket. As a result, the Alien thinline offers additional flexibility in the separate or individual processing of the two signal paths.

The high-quality hardware, including chrome-plated Warwick mechanics and a Wenge bridge with slotted bridge pins, ensures tuning stability and durability. Practical details such as the Warwick S-Security Locks provide extra security while playing while standing.

Visually, the bass convinces with its noble Natural Transparent Satin Finish, which brings out the natural grain of the woods used appealingly. With a weight of about 2.9 kg and its flatter body, the Alien Thinline is comfortable in the hand and can be played comfortably even during longer sessions.
