Yamaha TRB5P Amber Improved w/ John East Buffer preamp and better electronics
Used Yamaha TRB 5P 5 string bass in amberburst.
This bass is made in Japan, and is representative of Yamaha's very best. If you love the tone that John Pattituci pulled out of this TRB6P, this the same except 5 string.
It Includes piezo saddles in the bridge for added tonal versatility. The gorgeous flame finish is complemented by the subtle lines of the laminated neck-thru construction. This high-end instrument is discontinued and very hard to find!
This is a used bass so of course there's some slight wear from play, but no buckle rash or body damage.
Electronics have been completely refurbished as the stock circuit was not O.K. It currently has a Merlos luthier preamp with 3 band EQ and Passive Tone as well as a U.K. made John East buffer preamp to blend the magnetic pickups and the high impedance piezo system. Controls for the Piezo are: Mag/Piezo blend & Treble cut.
