The heart of the elegant modern-retro design of the Dingwall D-Roc is undoubtedly the multiscale construction, which allows each string to vibrate with an optimized scale length of between 34" (864 mm) for the G and 37" (940 mm) for the B. Three passive Dingwall FD-3N pickups with powerful neodymium magnets are used as pickups on the Dingwall D-Roc Standard 5 3PU, combining smooth sound development with the right amount of bite and assertiveness. The 4-way rotary switch calls up the pickups in different combinations so that the five-string bass guitar on the bass amplifier comes up with both traditional vintage sounds and modern timbres. In addition to the volume control, the classic passive circuit of the Dingwall D-Roc provides a treble control for adjusting the Bass sound.
