Welcome to the Vahlbruch FX shop on Reverb!
Vahlbruch FX is a one-man company run by myself - Dr. Henning Vahlbruch.
I am a physicist at the Max-Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics in Hanover, Germany.
I made my PhD in 2008 and since then I have been working on the generation of squeezed states of light for the reduction of quantum noise in gravitational wave observatories worldwide.

Besides physics, my passion has belonged to the world of effects pedals for decades.
I have specialized in absolute high-end pedals for the working guitarist.

My pedals are all original designs and no clones! As a one-man business, I am able to select the parts that are best suited for the circuit, without compromise. There are no shareholders, no board members trying to minimize costs and maximize profits. It's all about great-sounding, easy-to-use, durable devices!

In 2019, I invented my unique "MagTraB" switching concept. MagTraB stands for "Magnetic Transducer Button". This is the most mature and advanced development in silent switching. MagTraB switches are virtually indestructible! Compared to conventional foot switches, they deliver an almost infinite number of switching cycles - many, many millions! No more annoying mechanical switch clicks! Instead, the MagTraB push-buttons switch almost silently and with a very smooth soft-touch switching feeling!

For me the development of the MagTraB switch was an extremely important building block to improve my pedals even further and I am already looking forward to the many new pedals that I will certainly bring to life. Building pedals is my passion!
