TLRW Guitars grew out of a lifelong love of playing music and working on guitars. We offer a variety of new, used/vintage, B-stock/factory 2nd refurbished guitars for sale at affordable prices, and we pride ourselves on quality workmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to bring new life to instruments that others have given up on.

SO, WHAT IS A B-STOCK OR FACTORY 2ND GUITAR?

When manufacturers produce guitars, they go through a final inspection process before leaving the factory where they're examined for performance, electronics, finish, and color. If the guitars are anything less than perfect, they won't pass this rigorous inspection and are relegated to a status similar to items like clothing or appliances which end up at factory outlet stores. They become blemish stock, or 'B-stock.'

These instruments don't have major flaws or structural issues but rather minor ones like finish blemishes or maybe a loose solder joint which the manufacturer doesn't have the time to fix. Still others have no issues and are instead just discontinued stock.

After these instruments are demoted to B-stock, they're stamped 'USED' on the back of the head stock and will also have their serial number removed. This step prevents unethical retailers from selling these instruments as first-quality new rather than B-stock, since B-stock doesn't carry a warranty. Some makers like Fender or Jackson also take the added step of removing their name from the front of the head stock.

Every B-stock guitar that TLRW Guitars sells has its defects identified by our supplier before we receive them so we can start work on any necessary adjustments as soon as they arrive.

Whether the issue is as insignificant as a bubble in the finish or a truss rod nut replacement, we evaluate the needs of every instrument and outline all the work we complete on it for total transparency for you, our customer. We also take the added step of creating a new, unique TLRW serial number for all our B-stock instruments for easy identification.
