We are two overlapping enterprises here at 106 Main Street in Tiburon, California. First, we are our own tradition-based fully hand made Schoenberg Guitars, representing the very best of the hand-builder's art in tone, projection & playability. And, second, we are the friendly brick-and-mortar store where these and other great stringed instruments are bought, sold, traded & repaired. Our unique inventory includes a range of many of the finest vintage Martins, Gibsons, Larsons, Epiphones, Regals, Oahus, and so forth, available anywhere--even some one-of-a-kind museum pieces. If it's a vintage Martin or Gibson you're looking for, you'll do yourself a favor by checking out our inventory!
We also carry vintage electrics and archtops and many of the finest old & new guitars, mandolins, ukuleles & banjos from brand-name-makers and hand-builders. And we work hard to carry the best-sounding instruments (and best-playing instruments) we can! We cater to the experienced musicians looking for lifetime instruments and, also, to the beginner looking for an inexpensive yet playable one. In fact, we have outstanding instruments at all price levels, and these include a custom set-up! (We have a reputation for our great set-ups, done while you wait.)
Repairs are a specialty. We do a full range, the afore-mentioned setups, which are more important than many appreciate, to full restorations. There is a special awareness in repairing vintage instruments which, with sixty years of experience, is our bread and butter. Our founder, Eric Schoenberg, with his range of experience running from performing finger-style guitarist, decades of teaching, making, buying, selling, restoring, has had a major influence on what we play and make throughout the world of the modern flattop guitar.
We are at 106 Main St, Tiburon, CA, just 5 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Hours are:

11:00 to 5:30 Friday and Saturday
