I have been a musician for 35 years, and I finally set up my "shop" on Reverb just for selling my own gear. I'm not in the used gear business, so the things I sell aren't reassembled leftovers from traded in wrecks. If I have something for sale here, it was mine personally and only for sale because I got restless and wanted a change. I am fanatical about maintaining my gear, and I take great pains to keep it new looking. I am also fanatical about saving original factory boxes for as long as I own a piece of gear, so most everything I sell will likely be shipped in the original box with original factory packing materials.
If I sell something "as is", it's not a reflection of condition, but because I don't want a large heavy item being shipped back and forth to a non-serious buyer because of a case of buyer's remorse or because the wife got mad at you for spending the money. I do guarantee that anything I sell will be accurately portrayed with many well lighted pictures from all angles and that it will operate as designed to unless I specifically state otherwise. I will never send something that is not in the condition pictured. I will never ship an item that doesn't operate as it did when brand new, unless such condition is very clearly noted in the ad. This is because, in addition to being an honest person, I don’t need you to buy my stuff badly enough to be deceptive, but also don’t want there to ever be a reason to accept a return. Once I get paid, I want to be able to spend it without fear of having to give it back.

SHIPPING & RETURN POLICIES: read below, as well as other shipping and return policy statements thoroughly.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BUYER TO RECEIVE SHIPMENT:
I am not a retailer. I'm just a guy like you, selling his extra gear. I want to be easy to deal with, I always make certain that my listings are accurate, and I will answer any questions you have before purchase. On request, I am even willing to speak by phone if that makes you feel more comfortable than through reverb's messaging. That said, I don't have the resources to play games with those who are prone to buyers remorse or are uncooperative with delivery for whatever reason. When I get paid, I spend the money because I know that I have been completely honest regarding condition. I will always be thoroughly honest regarding condition, and I don't accept returns except in the case of shipping damage(see shipping policy for details). My pictures are numerous and high quality, and my description of condition is detailed, thorough, and exact. I expect the buyer to take our transaction as seriously as I do, look carefully at all photos, and thoroughly read the description. For this reason, I see no reason, beyond the aforementioned case of shipping damage, to ever issue a refund. If you disagree because you have a specific potential concern, make your case to me BEFORE purchase, I will consider whether your potential concern warrants an exception and we will come to agreement in writing via Reverb.com's messaging system. I am willing to speak by phone, but any agreement contrary to what you read in my shop description and policies must be noted in the message system.
Otherwise, the terms below and in my other policy sections apply.
You, by purchasing from me, agree to these terms and accept responsibility for cooperation with reasonable delivery efforts as defined by the shipping entity(shipper) and for having someone available to sign for delivery. You, by purchasing from me agree, if the item is undeliverable and sent back to me because of your failure to cooperate according to the shipper's delivery or pickup policy, to pay for re-delivery. You also agree that if redelivery fails due to your failure to cooperate, to take responsibility for local pickup at the seller's convenience and that no refund whatsoever will be made under these specific circumstances. All items are shipped insured, so you will not be expected to keep an item if it has true shipping damage as defined by the insurance provider(reverb.com or USPS*) unless the insurer determines that repair is the remedy. In the case of covered shipping damage, you will either be refunded by the insurer directly, or by me ONLY AFTER the insurer pays me, the seller, and then only in the amount payed out to me by the insurer. According to Reverb.com, their insurance covers up to the selling price of the item, but may only cover repair in certain circumstances. I always purchase insurance on shipments.
* insurance will normally be provided by Reverb.com, except when I elect to ship items valued under $100 by flat rate USPS Priority Mail. Flat rate USPS Priority Mail is insured by USPS up to $100, and I will not ship anything sold at a price above that by this method.
