With over 50 years of horn playing and horn restoration behind me and during that time having played many thousands of horns, I take satisfaction in bringing old, vintage trumpets and cornets back to life. I especially enjoy helping parents, students, come-back players, and pros make good horn choices from among my restored horns. Please read through my feedback. I'm proud to have received it.
Gabriel's Trumpets specializes in restoring old vintage horns back to new playing condition by removing dents and dings as much as possible. The horn is disassembled and then ultrasonically cleaned. After cleaning the braces and joints are checked and re-soldered if necessary. The horn is then reassembled using new felts, springs and water keypads. Valves are properly aligned and the valve springs compression adjusted for uniform performance. When a horn is released from my shop it still may not look quite new but it will play like new.
