I harvest, cut, season and hand pick aa good bit of the woods used in Maudal Musical Machines. All other woods are sourced from sustainable suppliers.
I like to leave reminders in my work that these guitars didn't arrive in a vacuum sealed package. They were living things - in fact living eco systems in themselves. So I allow for a bit of what the Japanese call wabi sabi as an individual piece calls for - perfection in imperfection.
That coupled with the precise engineering required for a guitar to play and sound well make these pretty interesting pieces I think. I truly do see guitars as Art. Meta-Art actually... Art that can be used to create Art.
Many of the pickups I use are hand wound by David Plummer (www.zhangbucker.com) for each instrument based on the type of build, neck joint, woods involved, the sound and overall *attitude* we're looking for. I also use TV Jones, Lollar and Curtis Novak pups.
Beard resonator cones and Hipshot tuners are also integral to my instruments.
I love the ideal of small business and all my suppliers are much like me, individuals and families who have a passion for all things guitar.

General Terms
Items must be returned in original, as-shipped condition with all original packaging and no signs of use. Buyer assumes responsibility for all return shipping costs unless the item was not received as described.

Maudal Musical Machines is dedicated to helping you own your dream guitar, so please be sure to ask any and all questions about the item you are purchasing BEFORE you make your purchase, so that we can do our best to make sure it is right for you and your needs.
Maudal Musical Machines does accept returns on NEW items as long as arrangements are made for such within 72 hours of purchase/receipt. Returned items MUST be in the original condition and with all of the original packing in order to qualify for a refund.
No refunds are available for commissioned items (items that were not in stock, but rather ordered per the customers request and/or to the customer's specifications).
The customer is responsible for all freight charges and any processing fees incurred in the course of the sale. We cannot refund freight charges.
For ANY RETURN accepted at our discretion after 72 Hours Maudal Musical Machines will charge a minimum 20% restocking fee. The only exceptions are for products that are defective.
