Marla Amplification is named after my best friend of 12 years. She had a heart of gold and a wagging tail of destruction — and no one deserved to have their name immortalized more than she did. Every amp we sell carries a name instead of a serial number. Many are named after dogs waiting for a home at local shelters, to remind anyone who buys one that their next best friend might be waiting too.

I spent 15 years managing music stores across the South. Every day I watched working musicians sacrifice quality to fit a budget. That's the problem Marla was built to solve: American-made, handwired, boutique-component amps at prices that don't punish the players keeping live music alive.

These amps have shown up everywhere from bedroom studios to Bridgestone Arena — on stage with Grammy-nominated touring acts. Our components are the same you'll find in amps costing twice the price: Orange Drop caps, Hammond transformers, Mojotone speakers, Switchcraft jacks. We strip away what's unnecessary so you're only paying for what matters.
