About Mark's Gear Station

I began learning about tape recording in the 50's when my dad brought home a Webcor tape recorder, that ignited my love for recording and sound. I began going to NAMM shows in the summer of 1978, through those trade shows I got to meet Steve Stevens, Neil Schon, Steve Vai, Ray Kurzweil, Dave Smith, Bob Moog, Leo Fender, BB King, Jim Marshall, Les Paul, the great Jim Dunlop and so many others.

In the fall of 1987 I spent six weeks running sound for the rehearsals leading up to the filming of "Hail Hail Rock n Roll". A large portion of the film was shot in Chuck Berry's private night club (in his backyard). Meeting Mr Berry was electrifying.

For the last 7-years I've been in a surgical battle with prostate cancer, (three surgeries later) so far I'm winning. All things considered I'm doing well and so is my favorite human (and GF), we're having fun tending to our flock of 66 chickens and living life every day. I'm back to being strong enough to pack and ship items here on Reverb and I'm excited about hooking some new friends up with some great gear and deals.

INSIDE MARK'S GEAR STATION ON REVERB
Mark's Gear Station is a one-man pursuit by me, Mark (Mary helps a lot too). My studio and store room are overflowing with gadgets and gear, coming soon to my Reverb store. I shoot all the photos. I write all the ads and look after all the communications and sales. It's easy for me to write about these items because I bought them for me and I've used and experimented with them all.

I always try to pack things the exact same way I like to receive purchases, so they'll arrive intact, ready to roll. That means lots of padding, double boxing when needed and miles of packing tape. Whenever possible I try to use USPS flat-rate boxes because the price is low and they get to you in 1-3 days. I've had great success with flat-rate Priority Mail boxes. Unless you ask me I NEVER use the economy form of USPS, it is too slow, your gadget will be out there doing cartwheels for four times as long.

UPS is my usual choice for larger items and fortunately I've had great success with UPS, they've really upped their game IMO.

I never compromise on packaging materials to save money on shipping. I ALWAYS use Reverb Safe Shipping because it protects me and YOU!

I'd like to say "thank you" to all the wonderful people who've purchased things from me on Reverb. What an amazing platform this is, let the gear flow.

Good music to you, from Mark

Shipping Policy

At this time I'm not equipped to sell or ship internationally. I ship items Monday through Friday, no shipping on Saturday and Sunday. I go to UPS at 9am so if your payment has cleared before 8am I'll ship your item same day. If I receive payment on a Friday before 5PM for a small item that can ship in a flatrate USPS box I will ship that on Saturday. For this to work I must program the pickup with USPS on Friday, then the mail person comes by on Saturday and picks up your item from my shipping dock.

I always use Reverb Safe Shipping, it protects me and YOU. I will personally message you through Reverb and let you know when your shipment leaves the station. Good music to you.
