I've been making music since 1975 when my Dad purchased an old upright piano out of a Gospel Church in Natchez, MS for $75, wrote the notes on the keys with a pencil and taught me the basics of how to play. From there I progressed to many years of Trumpet, French Horn and Guitar as well as cutting my teeth in Community Theater where I learned the methods of audio, video and lighting design.

After finishing a degree in Marketing in the early 1990s I started my first professional band and started my gear acquisition syndrome. Guitars, PA systems, Lighting rigs - you name it!

Fast forward to 2005 - Hurricane Katrina destroyed the Mississippi Gulf Coast and I was contacted by a local music store about helping put together a contractor division for audio/video/lighting. Houses of Worship, schools, Government buildings, sports fields, and commercial buildings were in need of a local firm to handle their needs.

In the mean time I maintained my professional musician status and in 2010 started what would be a 10 year residency on New Orleans' Bourbon Street. We played no less than four nights a week for those ten years and only stopped when the Mayor essentially outlawed live entertainment in a city known for live entertainment. The venues have recently reopened the band stands and we are on a regular rotation of Coastal venues including our old home away from home on Bourbon Street.

In 2020 after fighting the Covid 19 virus for over a month, I lost my friend and business partner to a long battle with Cancer. This was August of 2020. I formed my own AVL integration company and have continued to serve the Gulf Coast region.
