Meet Your Maker

Hello fellow axe-wielder and allow me to introduce myself! I’m Simon Foster, guitar player/designer/day-to-day guitar business runner and main founder of Kingdom Guitars. I’m also the Manager & Creative Director for Lindo Guitars which I have been co-running and designing guitars for since 2005.

I’ve been playing guitar since I was 12 years old and to say I have a passion for music (particularly metal) and guitars would be an understatement! It’s a way of life as I’m sure you’d agree. Although creative from an early age, I began ‘officially’ studying graphic and 3D design at age 16 and continued onto University to complete a degree in product design.

I joined Lindo Guitars in 2005 and it is now established as one of the biggest independent online guitar retailers in the U.K, sending around 10,000 Lindo guitars per year. Lindo has always tried to represent the fact that custom doesn’t have to mean expensive and that it is possible to design and make a decent instrument that won’t break the bank. Many professionals have passed on their praise for such affordable instruments but Lindo is mainly designed for the beginner and intermediate market, so therefore comes with its limitations.

I first had ideas for the Kingdom brand in 2012 but it really only came into fruition in 2013/2014. This was because it took a long time to find the right production staff to work alongside our luthiers/technical team for producing our high-end custom design concepts. This is something that is continually reviewed, analysed and improved to ensure the values of the brand are upheld in this modern and extremely competitive guitar market.
