I've been in the music business for over 50 years. Toured from 1974 to 1999 when I opened my own music studio in 1999. MIE Music. I have built what they refer to as "partcasters" and upgraded American and MIM Strats all of my music career, but due to the Covid closures, it gave me time to address a couple things on my bucket list. I wanted to learn how to do nitrocellulose paint jobs on unfinished bodies, and being an owner and a fan of Abigail Ybbara and Josephina Campos hand wound pickups, and to investigate why they're tones are so special. It became time to do research and development of Leo Fender's single coil pickups. After six months of beta testing with some of my favorite guitar players, it was time to bring them to market.

For Years now my Vintage Stratocaster pickups magnifies the Harmonics , the incidentals, the upper octaves, the fifths and the relationship of pick to index finger strikes while maintaining strong sustained fundamentar tone and real clarity for studio or cutting through with a live band. I like putting a little bulge in the middle of the pickup after looking at some of my favorite Vintage Stratocaster pickups. I currently have 9 Vintage Strat pickups to choose from. Pre-CBS 54-56, 57-62's,1959, 1963 and the 98 AVRI's. The early CBS gray bottoms 64/65- 1970 and 1969's.
