Gear Acquisition Syndrome, GAS for short. I have been playing guitar and trombone for nearly 60 years and have had a LOT of instruments and equipment over that period. It amazes me that I can buy something, e.g. SWR California Blonde II amp, sell 6 months later, and do it again (twice more) over the following few years! Seems like ya try something, play with it awhile, then start looking around for something else/better/different. All of the sudden a bout of GAS develops and you must again explain this syndrome to your wife. I think it's incurable, but enjoyable!
